Sometimes ya just can't get ahead of the old shell game that the big, brand-name companies have gotten so good at....the following isn't about oil but it is about charging what the traffic will bear: About 10 or 12 years ago there was a refinery in Grand Junction, CO which is about 250 miles and 2 mountain passes west of Denver; gas was selling for $1.40 a gallon in Junction and $1.20 in Denver. Nobody thought too much about it until they realized that a lot of the gas being sold in Denver was being trucked from Grand Junction TO Denver! Well, the refinery is closed now and guess what...the gas is still cheaper in Denver because, we are told, of the TRANSPORTATION CHARGES! Guess it's just proof that oil, water and gasoline won't run uphill but B---S--- will!
