Garr,Scott & Company made many Stationary and portable engines.Around 1910,they were mostly producing Traction engines,so I'd say the engine in the picture could be from the 1890's,and the picture taken in 1910. I spent a lot of time on an 18hp double cylinder Garr,The "Tiger Line" was awesome! I even crawled in the firebox once to try and peen a leaking rivet,which didn't work so it eas welded. Man that was hot even though the fire had been raked out the night before,the water in the boiler was still pretty hot. I have a book somewhere entitlrd,"Floyd Clymers Album of Historical Steam Engines that may help you,I'll try to find it. HB
