Good Luck on getting them to pay. I have plowed our neighborhood street of about 1/2 mile and frankly I have to worry about pi$$ing off my neighbors by clearing it. I think the red-necks around here would prefer it be left covered with snow so they can run their 4 wheelers and 4X4 trucks up and down it and let the kids sled on it. The others don't seem to care as long as the car manages to get out and might see the pile of snow left at in their driveway as I go by as an obsticle for them to clear. My tractor doesn't move fast enough to sling it off the side far that's why it leaves a row of snow downside the road. The state crews sling it 15 to 20 feet into the yards with their trucks. This last time I plowed I got 1 thank you from a passing lady and one stop me to make sure I was going to leave some for the kids to sled on. Nobody else commented. Given this all I saying is I'd never dream of being able to collect money for the job--I just hope to please more than I pi$$ off while catering to my wishes.

Today's Featured Article - New Life for an Old Allis - by Tyler Woods. My friend Jon, has an old '39 Allis Chalmers B. He thought it a marginal tractor that had long since served its time. She smoked terribly and never had much power but he couldn't afford another so he was limping along with what he had. Jon's Allis has a small front loader and though it doesn't carry much, it serves his needs. It was the hard starting and low power that made him think it was time to replace the old girl. Jon called me to help him discover why his tractor wouldn't start ... [Read Article]
