H-Man-- I've used a lot of 8 volt batteries in my time and I always have to take my generator's down to my local automotive electric shop and have the guy boost the charging rate up to about 9 volts or so (I don't remember exactly) he does this either by the third brush on the gen. and or tweek the voltage regulator. I've never had to charge the battery so I don't what to use. morgan
