Hi Bernhard, Just found your other post answering my question about tractor prices in Germany and what kind of tractor you have. It seems to me they might be a little less money in Germany than they are here. Also, found it interesting that you have an IHC. You've pegged some of the basic supply and demand factors in tractor pricing. Illinois, Ohio and here in Indiana are fair places to look as well, but it seems sometime as if all the old ones around here have been rode hard and put up wet... and that maybe the better deals are in KY, TN, GA, etc. Suppose the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Never met a farmer's daughter who talked tractor prices, though. So you're from the Eifel region? Going to the Nurburgring this coming weekend? My Dad's family comes from the east side of the Rhine, in the Westerwald, a town called Bad Marienburg. My Mom's family comes from Swabia, down south west of Stuttgart -- where they really grew up with a distaste for the French. And I think that trip from Koblenz down to Rudesheim is one of the best drives I've ever taken. Take care -- of yourself and all those schleppers you've got. And as a local guy -- do you prefer Mosel or Rhine wines? ha ha.... Steve
