OT, baler knotter problem, please.

Working with an old Case baler that did well last year. This year I've got rain on the way and it won't tie one bale right. No changes made to the thing except I lubed the fittings. The problem is that it doesn't hold both strings when the knotter starts to spin, the string from the back side of the bale falls off the end of the knotter. Empty chute and string held by hand it works fine. The angle of that back string is such with hay there that it's different enough to fall off the knotter. ???? Someone said to replace the plastic twine? This is on both of the bale strings, identical problem. Thanks Loren.
