Bill, another thing I do is always back the tractor upon the trailer. For me it is easier to get the correct tongue weight on my truck, and I feel safer driving it off. Make sure you have adequate width on your ramps. I have 2 ramps that are the full width of the trailer. I had these put on because with the narrow ramps that came with the trailer, I had the back wheels on the trailer and when the front wheels started up I let one slip off. It was not a good feeling. I got it up on by jacking it up and sliding the ramp back under the tire. That was when I learned a lot about loading and unloading tractors. Good sense and good luck.
