The forecast was calling for some rain, sleet, and snow today. So, when I woke up this morning and it was not precipitating, I hurried outside to prepare my 1950 JD MT to plow the garden. I had hoped to have nice weather today in order to plow the two garden plots I have (each about 2,500 - 3,000 square feet). I just bought the plow about a month ago. It took a little while to get the wheels moved in on the tractor. I had also anticipated sanding some of the rust off of the plow shares, but once I got it hooked up, I decided to just give it a go (I asked for plowing advice several weeks ago on this forum -- on answer was to just do it). Well, it worked! It was a blast. I've never had the opportunity to plow anything before. Wish I had a larger garden now! Just wanted to share this with you all. BTW, the tractor and the plow were bought new by my grandfather in 1950. They are special to me because of that.
