PS I forgot you asked about Neutral and Ground, this may help:
Neutral (White) is a GROUNDED live conductor that carries normal return current. NOTE the (Black) Hot is referred to as the UNgrounded Conductor.
Equipment GroundING Conductor (Bare/Green) is ONLY for carrying FAULT CURRENT so theres a return path so the Breaker can trip to de energize the circuit and save a life
There can be ONLY ONE NEUTRAL GROUND BOND often in the main panel or first means of disconnect
The Neutral (BOTH HV Primary as well as LV Secondary) is attached to a Grounding Electrode (such as but not limited to rods driven into earth) for surge and lightning protection and to keep the grid at a common low voltage reference IE mother earth.
