Thanks for all the help with the 1950 Harry Ferguson TO-20.
About a year ago I started redoing it for my wife, it is her Pappys tractor. She got it from him after it caught on fire and saved it from going to the scrap yard.
First, she was just going to have it be yard art and as she told stories about riding on the fender when she was a little girl, she started wanted it to be functional again. One year later I have finished it for her. Its not perfect but it was wore plumb out and abused before so I didnt have a lot to work with. I got most of the parts from YT and a lot of help from the forums. It starts with a flick of the shifter, purrs like a kitten and holds 25lbs of oil pressure.
She picked the colors and the pearl sparkles while insisting that was how she wanted it, despite me telling her it was originally battleship gray. With a sarcastic snarl she states to anyone that questions the colors Its mine, I didnt paint it for you! Ha! Ha! She putters around the yard and fields while enjoying precious memories, thats what mattered.
Once again thanks to everyone.

It’s amazing how a little floor jack can lift tons and tons of weight with just the flick of a handle. What’s even more amazing is that all the principals of hydraulic theory can be wrapped up in such a small package. This same package applies to any hydraulic system from the largest bulldozer to the oldest and smallest tractor. This short series will take a look at the basic layout of a simple hydraul
