Went to my favorite seed rack about a week ago, because last year I waited until March as I usually do, and many varieties were gone. And already, in mid-January, they were out of my favorite green beans. Found them at another source, but looks like you need to buy what you need as soon as possible. Ditto started plants- We have basically 2 categories of tomato plants in western Washington: Early Girl, and "all the others that don't work." The latter was the only thing left when I got there last year, and I was reminded of why they don't work.
