It is no secret that a lot of tractor enthusiasts don't like tractor pullers for they think we ruin the tractors! In most cases this in farthest from the truth--most antique tractors used in pulling are salvage yard specials or behind the barn or fence row queens. They were discussing the 460-560 tractor in the Farmall forum and I got involved. I have always had a few old tractors but got serious about it 15-20 years ago. I always like standard treads so started buying a few with the intention of restoring them, but then what--they just sit their collecting dust, leaking fluids or draining batteries. I would sooner have a puller--you can go to pulls year-around and meet a lot of nice people-Well most of them. At the big antique pull in Tunica over $60,000 was raised for St. Jude's Hospital-How much would those pullers made with those old tractors if they were still sitting in the fence row? The old Case we fixed up and now pull came out of a salvage yard-It had a big white X painted on the side which meant it was heading for the smelter-sure we chopped and sawed and modified a lot of stuff on it to get it down to 4750 lbs. but which is better--giving it a second life as a puller, or watching it go by as a brand new Toyota????--That's all---Tee Which line-up looks better?--This one?
