I own my dad's old 1952 44D rowcrop and it used to start up pretty good but the pump leaked fuel into the crank case. Took it off with the injectors a few years ago and brought it to pump place where they fixed it. Kept close tabs on the timing marks and put it back on and notice it was hard to start right away. Called the pump guy and he said he reset the breaking pressure on the tips to original standards. Now when I start it, takes lots of ether and only runs 2 cylinders for a few minutes then the other 2 get going as I feel the exhaust manifolds for heat. Lots of white smoke until all 4 get going. Not sure what to try next. I have fiddled with nozzle set screws and have seen some minor improvement. Old clock shows about 7000 hrs. Just a parade tractor so not a big deal for daily use. Will check compression in cylinders when weather gets warmer here in Minn.
