Yessssssssssss now that you mention it....the cotter pin!
On the not so bright side too: We watched westerns like lots of kids. We played cowboys and indians like lots of kids. One day we thought we would try our luck at Rodeo...ing. Lasso was a piece of 1/4" Manila Rope, nice and rough as Manila usually/always is. It was my turn to ride by the guy whose's turn it was at the rope. He was dead on and caught me around the neck all but jerking me off my bike. I wore that rope burn for quite awhile. Ouch.
For Christmas one year I got a pair of Roy Rodgers cap pistols. The bullets were in two pieces and little round caps that just fit the casing came with the set. You fired off your 12 caps and hid till you could unload your rounds, disassemble the slug from the casing, eject the old cap, insert the new, reassemble the round, reinsert all 12 and run back out to the action. What a time in life......that was between the hours on end spent in the sand pile with my dump trucks and all. Then there was the neighborhood baseball game after school and mom would call me in for supper, knowing full well that by the time I got finished the other kids would be gone.....for the same reason.

She smoked terribly and never had much power but he couldn't afford another so he was limping along with what he had. Jon's Allis has a small front loader and though it doesn't carry much, it serves his needs. It was the hard starting and low power that made him think it was time to replace the old girl. Jon called me to help him discover why his tractor wouldn't start
