Tires can be changed on a wheel without removing the wheel from the tractor. If you have a way of breaking a stubborn bead, it can save battling rusted / stuck bolts.
Some beads are stuck so hard that for me, it requires taking the wheel off.
Tire shops will dismount / mount new tires and tubes, on or off the tractor. That being said they do this for a nominal fee when purchasing tires from them. You may find increased fees for dismounting and mounting if you bring your own tires. May defeat any savings on the rubber itself.
