Apparently you misunderstand.
George would post about one of his inventions - some of which were deadly dangerous - and when the comments started he would get all upset.
This IS a friendly place. Most that commented were only trying to convince him not to hurt himself with some of the things he invented. Isn't that friendly??????? If it was Unfriendly, folks would have just said "go ahead" to him.
In many cases, folks here post some of their mistakes and blunders. Then they either get sympathy or criticism. Oh, well. If they did not want the comments, they should not have posted about the goof-ups they made, eh?
When you start out a post with "look at the stupid thing I did," you have to expect some comments. Not all will be favorable. Another thing is that if you can't take it, don't dish it out.
I've been flamed on this site more than once. I don't let it bother me. I still like to read the forums. George, on the other hand, wanted to be the center of attention and for everyone to say "atta boy, George!" I don't think there is one of the long time people on this forum that does not know all of what George likes and doesn't like. Like diesel exhaust gives him a headache and he hates the smell of smoke. The list goes on if I think about it.
To all of this I say if George wants to come back and be one of the boys here, that is fine by me. If he chooses to stay away, that is also fine. It is entirely up to him.

And I think Dad was ready for some automation too. And so it was that we acquired a good, used J. I. Case, wire tie hay baler. In addition to a person to drive th
