Racoon hunting across the back of a neighbors 40. The neighbor was a bit "lubricated". He decided (though he knew that we were not on his property, and that we even had his permission to hunt on his land) to assess the situation in his 1959 Ford Fairlane 500 sedan. (the full size version) he was approaching 40 miles an hour in his own field, when he hit his own IH 8 foot IH Tandum disk buried to the hubs broad side. It didn't move. The car puckered up and bent in the center of the frame like a partially closed pocket knife. He was in intimate contact with the steering wheel and under dash elements of Henry Ford metal. Knocked out and bleeding about the head and chest. I was elected to run to (his) house and call an ambulance. The hunting party of 4 others had him laid out on the ground when they arrived. He had a minor concussion, 4 broken ribs, and assorted contusions. The car didn't survive. The disk was sold about a month later with no visible damage. The moral (if there is one) is do not forget where you left your disk for 2 years (in the north end of a 40), and modify your curiosity while under the influence. Jim

She smoked terribly and never had much power but he couldn't afford another so he was limping along with what he had. Jon's Allis has a small front loader and though it doesn't carry much, it serves his needs. It was the hard starting and low power that made him think it was time to replace the old girl. Jon called me to help him discover why his tractor wouldn't start
