I have a piece of land about 2 1/2 acres that I mow with a belly mower. The tractor broke down as I was just getting stated so I got another tractor with a sickle bar mower and finished the rest of the field. When I finished and put the cutter bar up to travel on the road, I noticed the section had fallen down I looked and I had lost the end piece that holds the section so it don't drop down. I have an old horse drawn mower in the barn and it's an IH also. I looked at it and surely the piece looked the same. I had a tough time getting the piece off as it may well have been on for 80 to 100 years. Believe it or not it had the exact same casting number on it. The next day my niece was walking her dog and she found my piece. She hadn't known that I had lost it. She gave it back and that's how I knew it had the same number on it. A few days later I was mowing the same field with the sickle bar and lost a guard. I knew it but kept mowing. Later I saw my niece and told her and showed her what I lost and sure enough the next morning she comes and hands it to me. What great luck.

She smoked terribly and never had much power but he couldn't afford another so he was limping along with what he had. Jon's Allis has a small front loader and though it doesn't carry much, it serves his needs. It was the hard starting and low power that made him think it was time to replace the old girl. Jon called me to help him discover why his tractor wouldn't start
