The company that I work for, south of Boston, has had to spend tens of thousands to cover itself against violations of CA law even though we sell nothing there and don't plan to. The owner told me that it is like the wild west with bounty hunters combing through product information looking for a minor violation of prop 65 to go after. He said that these attorneys, as well as the courts and the state, can make good money on a case even when the suspected company is exonerated. One outcome is that prop 65 warnings are showing up on virtually everything, so CA residents are now getting no real warnings, so Prop 65 is a complete failure.
