Taxing Question - How is it where you are?

Here in Missouri we don't pay sales tax on certain farm equipment. The law is so vauge that nobody knows exactly what is exempt. Generally only farm related stores such as Farm & Home, Fleet Farm, TSC, Co-Ops, etc. are even aware of this exemption. It's not at all unusual for an item to be exempt in one store and the exact same iten denied exemption in another. Fortunately, tractor and implement parts are almost always exempt. I was just wondering how it is in some other states. Also Canada. Would like to see your comments. TIA Stan(Mo)
