Penzoil has gone up! My Dad uses it and was buying it for $1.09-$1.19 and now it's $1.49-$1.59 all of a sudden. I bought some Shell SAE 30 a few weeks ago for $0.88 a quart. It's almost clear. I have also used Exxon when on sale, but I prefer Mobil. Dad always used Penzoil in his 82' Chevy 1/2 ton from 79K when he bought it 10 years ago unitl almost 200K now. Still starts up and runs strong, just rusted in half. That 305 engine has never been touched. He quit buying Penz. since the price hike. I WOULD NOT buy Meijer's oil, it's made by Citgo, but has to be a low grade, cheap oil. It's not worth the risk. I have also heard horror stories about Quaker state. I would not oil a door hinge with it.
