I had two McCullough Eager Beaver chain saws which were the best saws I ever had. One was stolen and the other I used it until I wore it out and discovered McCullough disappeared from the stores. Then I bought a Poulan saw and ended up driving my tractor over it on purpose to put it out of my misery. Then I replace it with a Stihl and most of the time I can't use the chain saw and tractor on the same day for the same reason. I think Stihl saws are made by Poulan. The saw is hard to start. The automatic oiler doesn't dispense enough oil. It has no manual oiler. It doesn't idle down when you let go of the trigger so the blade never stops turning. Then when you want to stop it you have to flood it because the off switch doesn't work.
