When I finish up my skid steer project I'm going to spring for some new tires. I'm thinking I want something other than the standard R4. The ones on it now are almost completely bald, which actually works out pretty well. A lot of what I do with it involves driving on someone's lawn, driveway, or street. I'm not a fan of playing in the mud with it, but it does happen occasionally. I also have a snowblade I can use with it.
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with either of these tires or something similar. The first says it's a radial made by Advance. The second is a Galaxy hulk. I'm thinking the more rubber on the ground the easier it would be on the grass. I have a larger skid steer with new R4s on it. It is pretty easy to make a mess, but it does weigh about 2000 lbs more.
I did find a set of used Bobcat branded tires real similar to the hulks with 25 hours on them, so I guess they didn't suit somebody very well.

This same package applies to any hydraulic system from the largest bulldozer to the oldest and smallest tractor. This short series will take a look at the basic layout of a simple hydraul
