I have an IH 230 Windrower in need of Variator drive belts (from the engine PTO to the Variator pulley and from the Variator pulley to the Planetary pulley. These belts look just like snowmobile or ATV drive belts, except longer. The part numbers are: 599060R1 and 599068R1. The existing belts are beyond shot! IH lists the dimension of one at 1.25 x 114, and the other one at 31.5 mm and doesn't state a length; however I have been led to believe it is 63.5" Does anyone know where I can purchase these belts (other than an IH dealer)at a decent price? I would hate to have to spend more on 2 belts than I paid for the entire machine! I have been unsuccessful in trying to cross reference the OE part number to any of the popular brand (Dayco, Goodyear, Gates) belts, or to generate an after market part number by entering a dimension. Other than belt slippage, the machine worked fine after 50 hours of miscellaneous welding and other extensive TLC. Any help will be appreciated.

This same package applies to any hydraulic system from the largest bulldozer to the oldest and smallest tractor. This short series will take a look at the basic layout of a simple hydraul
