How about "genuine?"
I thought I did my homework in buying a new Weber carburetor. I read many warnings about the market being flooded with Chinese clones and how to ID the fakes, etc. I finally bought this one. Not in my book, but perhaps I am getting old.
It may be fine and just as good as one I regard as genuine and made in Europe. Time will tell. It certainly is not exactly the same.
