Went out for a snowshoe yesterday on a pair of snowshoes just about like those. We don't often get enough snow to make it worth snowshoes, but there is a foot now, just about enough. I am in Rhode Island. It has just happened that I have a fair collection of them. It just happened. First pair, Alaskan, I found at a flea market 30 years ago. They weren't right for the closed in woods around here so I bought a pair of modified bear paw and they were my main pair ever since. Folks died and I got my mothers green mountain pair, and a second pair of green mountain when son left and didn't take them. Then I found a pair of Maine style at the tractor/engine show at Orange Ma. a couple of years age. Then the Sportsman Guide had a sale on government surplus Magnesium Maine style for $30 and I had to have a pair. I haven't tried them yet, maybe today or tomorrow. The bindings that came with them aren't any good, but I can put another set of bindings on them. I mostly like the old wood and rawhide style though.

She smoked terribly and never had much power but he couldn't afford another so he was limping along with what he had. Jon's Allis has a small front loader and though it doesn't carry much, it serves his needs. It was the hard starting and low power that made him think it was time to replace the old girl. Jon called me to help him discover why his tractor wouldn't start
