I would like to have at least one of every brand but I have this little practical voice that keeps telling me I have too many tractors that don't contribute to my farming operation already. One tractor I'd like to own is a Minneapolis U because a close neighbor had one when I was a little kid and I thought that U was the biggest tractor in the world. I blew it a few years ago when I didn't bid on anything at an old far neighbor's estate sale that had a bunch of Minnies in the 40's to early 50's vintage. A couple or more of them were U's with a couple of UB's mixed in. They were going for $400-$500 and I just happened to be in a non-buying mood that day so I didn't raise my hand. The U's were not painted but most of them ran like a top, he was an excellent mechanic. I could have driven one of them the ten miles home with no worries whatsoever about having trouble. I do have Oliver, Deere, Case, Massey, IH and my son's wife has a 9N. If I was looking for a new tractor it would be New Holland IF I had a close dealer network with GOOD dealers. I do not have that close dealer network and the closet dealer has a bad attitude, in my mind anyway so that rules out blue tractors. There that's tractor related!

Jon's Allis has a small front loader and though it doesn't carry much, it serves his needs. It was the hard starting and low power that made him think it was time to replace the old girl.
