I started using one of those - then got an AT for CAD.
Dear god - to think back on those days - 16 color monitor was state of the art.
20 Meg hard drive - woo hoo.
That's where I learned about computers - by necessity. It changed my career path.
My biggest regret ever was way back in the VERY early days of the internet (when we all still that compuserve was pretty slick) I said to my friend/co worker, regarding domain names... "you know, if we were smart, we'd register a bunch of common words and company names and hang on to them - let big companies buy them back from us once this web thing catches on... like money, att, investing, (and some others I can't type here)"...
Never in the history of mankind has one person come so close to becoming a multi-multi-millionaire and foolishly turned it down because it would have cost a couple hundred bucks to do it.
One site in particular was the most expensive site ever sold, that one sold for 13 million. I think money.com went for a couple million.

But anyways - yes, the internet is incredible when it comes to searching for old parts. I got into restoring tractors with the web though. I really don't know how you guys did it before! All mail order, swap meets, and want ads I guess. Hard to imagine.
