I have got a sprayer that I'd like to use with my older Farmall tractors. This sprayer has a hydraulic driven pump that just hooks to the remotes on the tractor. I'm wondering if it would hurt anything to hold the hydraulic lever of the tractor up by hand for the amount of time needed to spray a field. Also, I tried holding the hydraulic lever up to run the pump for just a minute or so, but found it hard to keep the sprayer pressure from moving up or down. The more I moved the hydraulic handle, the more the pressure changed. Is there a way to regulate this to keep my pressure steady?
