My Minneapolis Moline UB was born without hydraulics from the factory. Some 50 years ago my Dad had hydraulics added, using Char Lynn components. Several years ago when I took possession of the tractor, I replaced the hoses and rebuilt the control valve, but never had occasion to actually use the hydraulics. Last week I finally had that chance, and discovered that they don't work. I assume that it's the pump which is not working. I suppose from sitting all those years, or maybe being run without oil at some point.
I'm wondering if this Char Lynn pump is rebuildable, and if anyone has done it. Or if not, is there another aftermarket pump which will work?
My UTS has a similar pump. That one just has a hose looped between the two ports, and has been that way for years. I'm wondering now if that one will work either. I was planning to add the reservoir along with the valve and remote outlets to this tractor also at some point. Maybe I'll need two pumps! :(
