Directed by Clint Eastwood so you know the lefties in Hollywood won't give any credit to someone on the right. But I'm sure Clint don't care what they think and neither do I. Regardless of the quality of the movie, it told the story and told it well. The box office sales tell the real story. Clint can laugh at those lefties all the way to the bank.
That said, I think we all know that you never EVER point a firearm loaded or unloaded at someone in fun or carelessness. So who in their right mind points a cocked revolver at his wife in fun? Then lays it on the mantle, still cocked, then walks out the door with little kids still in the house?
It was disappointing to me that he was portrayed being so disrespectful of a deadly weapon with his wife on the receiving end of the barrel. I understand the movie needs moments like that to hold an audience but it puts all of us who own guns in a bad light. I'd like to think a Marine of all people would know better. That was about my only complaint about the story line other than the obvious fake baby. Good movie otherwise.
