I keep waiting for the citiots to decide to "re"introduce feral hogs in Virginia. Ignoring pleas from the farmers and the Farm Bureau, the citiots "re"introduced elk into the western part of the state, vowing to maintain the herd at 400. They have also "re" introduced mountain lions into a neighboring county. Coyotes are everywhere and it's not unusual to see them within 100 yards of the house or stable...they've been extremely vocal the last few days...must be mating season. Unfortunately, where I see them, there is a heavily traveled US highway as a backstop which precludes taking a shot.
