This message is a reply to an archived post by Clodbuster on September 10, 2009 at 11:15:21. The original subject was "Re: pto problems on a Case 2290".
I am having problems with my 2290 Case pto engaging properly. When I first start the tractor with the hay baler hooked up and the tailgate raised, the pto will turn slowly. As time goes on (up tp 3 hours), the pto will begin to turn a little faster. As it begins turning faster it will suddenly engage and work perfectly. Any suggestons on what this problem might be? All the other hydraulics on the tractor work fine. Thanks in advance for any helpful information.
