Look into the money spent Edd, the grants, the programs, the studies and tests and research. The proof in there. The same goes for the other side. As far as the 2nd part of your question, ask the coal industry how it's doing right now. There's your answer. Outlaw or out-regulate coal emissions, as promised by The One, and the industry folds. Make gasoline and diesel emissions more expensive and you force people into alternatives like incredibly expensive electric cars that are made by big donors to certain politicians. Follow the money. Follow the Solyndra type stories where well connected progressives got their campaign money pay back or simply took the money and ran.

The larger issue is simply money and power. We all sit around and criticize Exxon/Mobil, BP, etc. for their huge profits. We sit there and talk about how "they" jack the price of gas up every holiday. When is deadly cold and propane and fuel oil are running $4-5.00 a gallon we have little choice but to pay out. That's money and that's power that someone else wants. It means being able control the little people and push them int he direction you want. Always remember that in every society, even the most ardent communist society, there are always those "more equal pigs" that get the good food, the mansions, the limos, the trips to some free country where the healthcare is better, etc. That's what this is all about. That's what the underlying reason for the big guns pushing this is. Yeah, there are the sincere, concerned little guys that really believe and want to change the world for all our benefit. And then there are those that need a job and will produce the desired results for the boss and quietly shove the studies and research that don't agree with the agenda under the rug. Considering that when the Cold War ended and a lot of research scientists were let go in the following years, and then turned up in the climate change industry a few years later (I think I still have the reports on that bookmarked) it makes sense. They needed to eat, pay the bills, etc.

The climate changes. Man can have an effect. Crippling the western world while doing nothing about China, India, Russsia, etc. is not an answer. Taxing the western world, the US in particular, into submission sure would meet some of the agendas out there though. And of course that would work towards the wealth redistribution aims some have. It's all to clear to me that the power and money involved make the whole thing suspect.

Today's Featured Article - Harvestin Hay: The Early Years (Part 2) - by Pat Browning. The summer of 1950 was the start of a new era in farming for our family. I was thirteen, and Kathy (my oldest sister) was seven. At this age, I believed tractor farming was the only way, hot stuff -- and given a chance I probably would have used the tractor, Dad's first, a 1936 Model "A" John Deere, to go bring in the cows! And I think Dad was ready for some automation too. And so it was that we acquired a good, used J. I. Case, wire tie hay baler. In addition to a person to drive th ... [Read Article]
