I wore my first set of Mickeys in Korea in 82. Loved them. I grew up with cold feet, I've always had cold feet no matter what boots I got, Sorels were about as good as it got. Then I found surplus Mickeys and happiness. I don't know how anyone could possibly get frostbite in them. I suppose it's possible, but I don't see how. They are fine for walking as that's all I do all day long in them. Best winter boots ever, bar none.
I bought my kids size 8 MM's I found on line for $7.00 a pair. Last pair I got 3 years back were about $35.00. Search around, they can be had inexpensively.
