I disked the stalks and tried to plow with my Super M and a 3-14 plow. The plow constantly clogged up with the corn stalk residue. I tried disking some of it again, and the plow still plugged. I tried trailing some 9 gauge wire off the plow to try to divert the stalks down, and it still plugged.
I bought an old used stalk chopper and ran over the field with it. No more clogs in the plow. That old stalk chopper was a life-saver.
