Two things come to mind. The responsiveness adjustment, a small lever on the right side towards the front of the lift, might need adjusting. If memory is correct, counter clockwise slows the lifts upwards movement, and clockwise speeds up the lift. The setting may be a bit too quick. The other thing is that the o-ring on the piston in the lift cylinder may be leaking down, thus lowering lift oil pressure. When it leaks, the lift begins to drop, then the lift is activated and more oil is pumped into the cylinder,lift rises, and leaks out again. The process happens rather quickly.
