I have a Garmin nüvi 50. You can get the nüvi 50LM for a few dollars more. Same machine just comes with lifetime map updates. I use it everyday at work 10 to 12 hrs a day. The last Garmin I had before this one lasted over 5 years till the touch screen went bad. I do not know how I got by so many years without one but sure do not want to go back to those old days of paper maps.
Most of the guys at work have Garmin. The ones that bought other brands at first changed over to Garmin when they replaced the one they had.
Get a Garmin. If you are disappointed it is not the fault of the GPS.
By the way most if not all brands of GPS use the same map provider "Navteq". The only difference in between brands is the quality of parts used and programs the builder of the GPS uses.
