I dont believe that for a second, not even a fraction of a second. There is way too much evidence against such wild claims. Heck, just google "harley gas mileage" and you will see hundreds, if not thousands of responces of peoples mileage with some people having records of 50,000 to 100,000 miles for EACH bike they have owned over the years. NOBODY is getting the numbers you are claiming, that should be telling you something... Again, Im not talking hypermiling, Im talking riding. Average, normal riding and that kind of riding wont get a dressed bike anywhere close to 60.
My post aint intended to make a pissing match of mileage (although Im sure some will enjoy taking it that way) nor do I want to start a harley vs. "import" bash-a-thon. I was mearly pointing out the facts that Jed can "tune" his bike till his fingers fall off, 60mpg on that bike is simply never going to happen. Not even close, not with any sort of normal riding. But Im quite sure it wont have one wits effect on Jeds enjoyment of his new ride (nor should it).
You can agree to disagree all you want but I was just telling the truth and maybe I should have just kept quiet.
