I haven't worked on one, but from the picture, I would widen the vise jaws out to support the top cover and then try to tap the shaft out. Should just be a bearing there that the shaft slides thru I would think. The snap ring groove is probably messed up a little. The two studs I would assume are threaded thru the transmission case. The one that just turns has probably eaten the threads out of the case and the oil is leaking out. Might be able to get it to come out by putting a little pressure behind the cover if you can get a screwdriver or something in the crack and then try turning the nut. Just my ideas, somebody else may have a better idea.
