I usually don't get took especially with the old tractor crowd but I did have somebody get the better of me this month. I posted for a hauler on the YT hauling page, to bring a tractor to me in Iowa I bought thru the photo ads, and lined up a guy who seemed pleasant enough over the phone. Of course he wanted a little money up front to pick it up, I didn't think that was out of line so I wired him a third of it. He followed up with a phone call the next day so I thought I was set. Deadline to pick it up has come and gone and he won't return my calls for the past two weeks so I have to assume I got took on it. Worse, now I need to make the run myself as it too late to line up someone else. I guess at least I should feel good he didn't take my money and the tractor too!
I don't know if I should post a warning on the haul page with his name and number or just let it go. What do you guys think?
