Tony,
Thanks for remembering our earlier discussion, and taking the pictures and posting them. Just today, a friend and I were out in the shop/barn and were looking at the Bridgeport and made some resolutions to get back on that project. It had gotten too cold for me to make the earlier progress I had hoped for, and of course other family stuff had come about. So I had not yet solved the problem, and your input is valued.
Is the Phase-o-Matic a rotary converter, or the type that has no moving parts, but is mostly an array of big capacitors? Is it temperature sensitive, requiring a somewhat warmed up shop area? I have been working on the enclosed shop space that will be the machine shop area, but have not that completed yet. I have been working with 3 1/2" thick white styrofoam, fitting it tightly between ceiling joists and have that about 95% complete for the machine shop area. I have yet to do the walls. I hope to be getting back to both of these projects quite soon as our weather is warming up to nearly +40 F on many days.

Jon called me to help him discover why his tractor wouldn't start
