Before buying another transmission, may I recommend changing the fluid & filter as well as verifing the bands are correctly set. If you are slipping, you will tend to burn your fluid. In my opinion, the two most frequent misdiagnosis in automobles are blaming a tune up engine issue as a transmission issue and second is replacing/ rebuilding an automatic transmission when adjustments are all that are needed. I suppose O2 sensors get a lot of bad troubleshooting, but adjusting your bands is cheap enough to check before throwing out your transmission. Dodges from the early 1990's till now aren't great in any system, but, I would still check band adjustments before replacing transmission.
