Ok here is where we stand as of this evening ..I posted first and answers follow
----------------------------------------------------
Trying to help a friend on another Big tractor forum. these numbers I can't decipher. maybe if I show we can help he may join.

I just bought a snowblower for my 1450 Cub Cadet
I'ts just like new but sat in a garage for many
years. The drive belt, mower to electric clutch
is "Hard as a rock" It has number 4774 on it, and
appears to be an A, or 4L type.Blower is an
"International", Specification GA42A U1111, it's
a 42 inch. Anyone have an idea what I need, or
know where I can download a parts bulletin and
get an interchangable IH number?
-------------------------------------------------
Probably a QA42A rather than a GA42A. Best to get the correct belt from a CC dealer. I have never found an aftermarket
belt that fits correctly in that application. A 3L is too narrow and a 4L and an A are too wide. The CC belt has a deeper V than
the 3L or 4L.
--------------------------------------------------
Thanks Todd,
I did mention to him that the blower may nee a pulley change... Not sure what it may have been on as they were bought separate. any ideas what the 1450 needs for that driven pulley.
----------------------------------------------

It should be about the same size at the pto clutch pulley.

Today's Featured Article - New Life for an Old Allis - by Tyler Woods. My friend Jon, has an old '39 Allis Chalmers B. He thought it a marginal tractor that had long since served its time. She smoked terribly and never had much power but he couldn't afford another so he was limping along with what he had. Jon's Allis has a small front loader and though it doesn't carry much, it serves his needs. It was the hard starting and low power that made him think it was time to replace the old girl. Jon called me to help him discover why his tractor wouldn't start ... [Read Article]
