I got a BCS as part payment for an estate I probated. I had used a Troy-Bilt for 30 years previous, and its up for sale now. BCS is much better. All gear drive, 3 speed transmission, and separate engagement lever for the tines. Has other attachments as well. I have a rotary (bush-hog type) mower, that I would like to sell. Need to put it on Craiglist, I guess.
Twice over the garden, and I'm done. Its heavy, and gives you a bit of a workout- but because of its weight, you can take a bigger bite without it running away.
If you get one, stay away from the old Acme engine. That was from Italy, and if it sounds similar to the Acme products Wile E. Coyote used, you might be right. The newer ones come with Briggs engines, and work great.
