This has been a subject before, sometimes when I slow down ,the engine quits , other times it will act as if no fuel and chugs along trying rapidly to change gears ,local mechanics either dont know or don't know how to fix the problem The fuel cap has been replaced , If I release the pressure ? in the tank by loosing the cap it will restart until it decides to repeat the process , Could there be a sensor on the fuel supply which regulates the fuel supply according to load and speed ,BTW It changes gear (auto) hard with a real clunk (in any gear) seems maybe some correlation between hard gear changes and fuel requirement under normal driving conditions ,The timing chain broke on one occasion and I think caused by kick back from these hard gear changes.Does anyone have any similar problem with these models.?.
