Here is a strange British tractor that I discovered in an old barn near me. The name on the hood is "Winget", and one of the tanks on the inside says "Lister". What can you tell me about this thing? If it ran, it would be a very handy thing to have around the farm, as a mower and a light loader (assuming I can find or make a bucket for the front). Mainly, I'd like to know what anybody knows about these tractors- like were they any good, and worth restoring. I fully expect that parts will be essentially impossible to find. However, I am good at improvising. I think this may be a diesel. what do you think about this thing? I don't yet know what I'll have to pay- I may be able to haul it away for free, as it is on a preoperty to be demolished and there are many tons of stuff to be removed. I bet if I fixed this thing up, I'd be the only person at a tractor show with one!

Jon called me to help him discover why his tractor wouldn't start
