Jim is talking about the regulator valve assembly. It is the hydraulic block that sits by itself off the column. The cover is held on with four bolts and below it is a heavy spring . That spring is the high pressure relief valve spring. The other piston in block is the regulator piston which puts system on or off demand depending on position of the aux valve levers. The screen orfice has a screw driver head right between the two valves and it has a screen on it. Original ones had a .024 hole which was changed to .031 in later series tractors. Often it is necessary to drill that hole slightly larger, like .040 like Jim suggested to account for wear on the regulating land in the aux valves. If screen is mashed and still ok you can cut end off, clean screen and roll end back up to close it off. That little orfice costs over 50 bucks at CASEIH. Use longer bolts in corners of cover to reinstall and you will need a new gasket and o-ring on piston.
