Check the arms for serious separate movement (hold one, move the other. 1/8" slop might be good measured at the end of the arm) Kook for signs of clean leak tracks in the dirt on both shaft seals, and at the steering head. There is a welch plug near the bottom that can rust out or leak. The steering wheel should have about an inch of movement from straight ahead with a light spring pressure back to center. (this is the torque sensor and is not slop. 1/2 turn is not cool. Jim
