Bring the #1 piston up on compression, then back in up till almost dead bottom. Turn the mag so the rotor is going to be at #1 plug tower when it snaps. Then install the mag, you will have to turn it to match the gear slot. Bolt it down with the bolts in the center of the hole slot. Then slowly turn the engine the right way, and watch the timing marks when the mag snaps. If it too fast, bring #1 up a little more, and try it again. Its called trial and error, but that's the way I do it.
